I grew up in Kingsport and then moved to North Carolina after my husband, Myron and I were married. I graduated from East Carolina University and taught in North Carolina for three years. After my husband proudly served in the Air Force, we moved back to the Tri-Cities area where I taught middle school math for 29 years. We have an older son Justin, who lives in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as a younger son, Michael, who is a senior at UTK majoring in aerospace engineering; we are also the current caretakers of a Chocolate Lab and a mini Australian Shepherd. These are a few of my favorite things: reading, hiking, traveling, spending time with my husband and family, and of course, working in the real estate business. While teaching has always been my passion, I have also had an interest in renting and flipping homes. During the last ten years, my husband and I have purchased investment properties to supplement our income during retirement. I developed a love for home improvement and design and took the entrepreneurial spirit and love for homes and decided to become a realtor during the summer of 2020. Having a career in teaching that spanned three decades, I have a reputation of always setting high standards for myself as for my students; my goal is that I will continue to incorporate that same amount of passion and excellence in being a realtor.
